all the idiots here trying to undermine the dedication he played with and the contributions he made in the world of tennis need to really go and pick up a racquet. Paes is a legend in Indian tennis - no second thought! He has quoted the greats that they retired when they were at the top of their game. you can't forget the achievements of anybody just because they became older now.

Did Pele play alone against 11 from the opposition? Have you ever watched Paes play in Davis cup? That man puts everything on the line when he plays for the country. Remember Tendulkar's performances in 90's when every one else in the team was either fixing matches or a nincompoop? Paes has carried Indian davis cup team on his own for as long as he played. Even now when he 37 , the doubles tie in our Davis cup matches is a guaranteed win. Please don't belittle the best that we've got. We might not have Akram and Waqar, but don't we appreciate our Kumbles, Zaheers and Srinaths? Then why this belittlement towards Paes? He may have his failings, but he is the best we have.
Not to disrespect Paes here but he is certainly far far away from the league Ali and Pele are.They are the legents, the best ever in the sports they were....Paes a good doubles player at best...
