Congratualtions to Sania

Good job on getting another grand slam success. It is not easy to succeed at any level in any sports. It will inspire more Indian girls to take tennis.

Where are the Traitors and Rubberstamps of Sonia Gandhi (TRS party) members now? A copy of the photograph of Sania Mirza holding the trophy must be sent to all of them immediately. Unfortunately, the TRS party members do not have even tongues to lick their own wounds.

Why do you people have to look at everything through the prism of being 'muslim'? She did not win this title BECAUSE she is a muslim, but because she was a better player.

Get out of your ghetto mentality.

Mr. Adam Smith, I am a broad minded Muslim - but whenever anything comes about Muslims everybody jump to paint bad about this Community - now I have asked the same people to comment on Sania Mirza;s achievement and not to provoke them.

No need to Bring religion into this. She is a proud Indian and a good role model for Indian girls. We should all be proud and feel happy on the success of our fellow Indians and celebrate their achievements. Religion is a personal matter and doesn't come into picture at all.

Mr. Vineet Nagar, thanks for your comments - we need people like you with the same mind set so that we can go ahead and do good this country without any prejudice - I was just trying to tell those who jump to paint bad about this community whenever any news appear in this web site. My intentions were not to hurt anybody as I am one of the broad minded Indian Muslim

very simple.. if she was born in a muslim country like pakistan, she would never have won these prizes. As simple as that. She should thank for being born in India that she was able to get opportunities to develop and show case hereself.

Mr. Kumar, thanks you are 100% correct, we muslims are much safer and broader and developed compared any of the so called muslim countries - I was just trying to tell those hate/baiters to now atleast think good of this community. We Indians if resolve to shun religion and do good a bit to this great country - we can take all the medals the world can offer and leave half of the medals to the whole world to share.

I second it. It is an awesome achievement by an Indian. I play Tennis regularly and I know how difficult it is even to win USTA league matches. And to win a Grand Slam is just fantastic. It is a pity that a country of 1.4 Billion people, we were able to produce only 1 famale Tennis star. But still, Many Congratulations, Sania, and Soares.

"1.4 Billion people, we were able to produce only 1 famale Tennis star." Vilambi, but 1.4 billion people have produced sonia gandhi, rahul gandhi, Suresh kalmadi, A. raja, Pawan kumar bansal, Mani shankar Iyer, Digvijay singh, Mulayam singh, akilesh yadav, the Buffaloes welfare Minister in UP, Azam Khan, manmohan singh, yediyurappa, sanjay jha (the longest/dirtiest tongue in the world), randeep surjewala (who has this disease called constipation of thoughts and diarrhea of words), TRS party in Andhra Pradesh, sheila dixit, and others. What are you talking about? The above-mentioned are great luminaries in Indian Politics and carry the largest percentage of Indian treasures, foolishness, arrogance, antinationalism, and nation-selling attitude unlike some of our sportsmen and sportswomen who sacrifice everything and play for our country. Of course, some of the past and present cricketers are an exception who play only for endorsements...you want some examples?
