Different groups of sports persons have had their photos clicked with the PM & Sports minister. I am quite sure that the PM has never played any games,as he was busy in his family tea business,& moreover his state is the biggest laggard in sports in India,& gets decimated by other states by margins of double digits goals in football & hockey. When he says he is all for sports, it sounds hollow, & farce.
Those who really worked hard and brought medals & laurels are standing and politicians are sitting.......when we Indians will learn to truely respect our achievers !
Good to see asian games medalists being honored by Govt. of India! This will boost the morale and also bring cheer to the hard work put by our athletes.
It's our bounden duty to felicitate the medal winners as it will boost their morale.But it's time for us to introspect.A country of 1.3 billion winning a paltry number of 11 golds!Are we a real sporting nation?Cricketers are like kings in India.Overnight they become filthy rich and become the part of glitterati.Compare these with Hockey players,foot ballers,Volley Ball players and the athletes.Their families are struggling to make ends meet.A trumpeted declaration of ten lakhs in effect is pea nuts.This incongruity should be patched up.Another big anomaly is in vogue that most of the Associations are manned by persons who never had played that game.IHA should be headed by somebody who has a minimum knowledge about Hockey.Now take the case of Mary Kom.This steely woman who is the mother of three has won a gold for our country.What is the monetary award she is going to get?A meagre ten lakhs.Such incredible gold winners for the country should treated on par with the cricket heroes.Shake hands,group photos and break-fast session won't help them.Can we expect something innovative in this respect from the new Govt?Let's cross our fingers and watch out..

Mr Raje nd Sudakar has no other work than cheap criticism. Here athlets are falictated for their hard work and bringing laurels to the country . Be sportive and ans support our athlets
