Football is for vigorous , aggressive people . The average Indian is lazy and nincompoop . Hence he naturally gravitated towards lazy cricket played by 10 countries . This way the competition will be less and effort required to win also less , satisfying the ego of lazy folks .
grass roots development of games like football, hockey ...is difficult due to commercialization of most of the play ground though the same would increase club culture...but how many can afford it
