Yes, she lacked the sportsmen spirit, no doubt she should have raised her voice later in front of world but not at the podium...surely not

Is there any international forum/court to analyse video clipping frame by frame of the whole bout before AIBA ruling which will be partisan no doubt??

Sarita the Champion

Partiality and corruption is unacceptable in sports. Even though her action as per procedure may not be correct but had she not done, the way she protested, the entire incident would have gone unnoticed. At least now the AIBA better clean up their mess. Well done Sarita you are a true champion.

had she not protested abd shown dissent at the medals ceremony everything would have gone unnoticed. hats off to gut courage and guts. it is very important to show your emotion at the right time and right stage and right opportunity. she was a victim of biased umpiring who gave preferance to their own country players.

too much unsportsmanlike

Sarita was absolutely unsporting.
She could have gone thro' the motions at the medal ceremony and lodged a protest later.

Dear Ravi, As long as none of us have done such kind of rigorous training for years like what she did, it is not fair to find fault with her. It was a spontaneous reaction and She never meant to insult any one, but totally shaken/shocked because of the injustice. I think the first unsporting approach came from the Judges and afterwards only She reacted.

Dear Padma... Thats why it is called taking it sportingly. Rejecting the medal , damaging the sport equipment on the field are unsportsmen like and invites severe punishment. I feel sorry that she was robbed of her rightful position, but now she is robbed of her career. What happens now, to all her training. It is a callousal waste for her. I fee sorry for her for the second time.

If it was a close call then whatever the boxer did could be termed as lack of sportsmanship, but what happened with her is clear cheating. If the AIBA wants to put it under the carpet of new rules then also and to show that the refrees were biased or incompetent then also the action of the boxer is fully justified. She should have shaken up the whole world and would highlight the discrepancies in her case.

Yes. What are the options
by nishith srivastava on Oct 05, 2014 07:44 AM

This was certainly un-sportsman like for sure. But the main question is if a home country indulges in favoritism what options are there. Unfortunately there are too many cheat countries around the world.
