It was only due to Sreejith and strong defenders India won the match.
Indian strikers lacked the skill to convert chances.

My AppA introduced me to hockey in the seventies..He told me it is my National game. It was the most popular game in our school...

Our heroes wer Dyan Chand, Ajitpal Singh, Surjeet Singh, Govinda, VJ Phillips, Mohd. Shahid, Aslam Sher Khan, Chimni, Sivaji Pawar...

In one hour everybody in the team can get a healthy workout..I played street hockey with my kids in the US.. one of them went on to play ice-hockey and excelled for a while..

We cannot compare those athletes with cricketers of 70s who could barely run between 22 yards..
