I'am not surprised...had some Punjabi athlete done the same, the officials would have made a hue and cry but a poor girl from North east has no sympathies...no wonder China is encouraged to take some parts away from India in the North east.
When Qatar steeplechase athlete became a victim of wrong decision by officials Qatar officials protested and got her medal reinstated to gold. Two Indian ATHETES suffered because of this. Our officials did nothing. Same thing for Sarita Devi These officials are a useless bunch of Rascals

They went their for shopping and merry making on Government's account and not for safeguarding the interest of the Country and Players.

not government's account, it's our money which is being wasted on these officials.
Till we have politicians entrenched in sports associations, their chamchas the officials will always be concerned with shopping and nothing else. Lousy lodging and transport facilities, bad food in training camps and bad behaviour are the trademarks of our officials. To that has been added spinelessness, a lack of patriotism and the ability to vanish when they are required the most. I wish our officials could be given a quota of the best from our boxers, to knock some sense into them. I seriously wonder when our government will learn to respect its sportsmen, other than cricketers.
L Sarita Devi has shown extra-ordinary courage in handing over the medal to the Koreans without even wearing it. Suitable inquiry must be made in the case of the judges. The Indian officials should hang their heads in shame in not supporting her adequately. And there is no question of any harm coming to Sarita K.G. Bansal
