These were not the tears of someone who lost, but someone who was willfully let down by the host country. Glad Sachin had the guts to stand up and so will the country. I am for her and with her. Let us not be cowed down by such decisions and stand up for our rights.
This should have happened long back, but better late than never. Thanks to Sachin & Sonowal for taking it up now. This unjust world body of boxing must be taught a lesson and likewise those umpres who are a disgress to their profession.
"arita was beaten in the women's lightweight (60kg) semi-finals at the Games in September and, in protest, tried to give her bronze medal to her opponent from South Korea"
Sarita was not beaten.
She was cheated by referees.
Is this just a mistake or intentional re-write of history?
I have been following the event from when it happened. Giving silver to the other opponent was pure nonsense and partial on the judges side. I saw Sarita Devi puching real badly on the other opponent. We need to support Sarita Devi. We Indians don't know how powerful we are abroad. The old poor India is gone, Lets be together and support Sarita Devi and ban those judges from any such even which occurs in India. I really pity those 3 judges who sided with S.Korea.
