Carlsen is just too sound in his approach. I didn't think Anand had a chance even before the tournament. Carlsen is just a very strong technical player who methodically thinks through all the possibilities for 7-8 moves ahead. No wonder he has the highest ELO rating ever.
Anand played much better than last time, but still blundered a few times and you just can't afford blunders against Carlsen.

Both Vishy and Carlsen has blundered only once in the match, that too in the same match.. for example today's game Vishy lost after taking a brave decision of positional sacrifice.. that later comes out as mis-judgement and some gms says timing was not correct.
and the Indian middle class, Anand asserted his supremacy over Carlsen by comprehensively beating the latter in one game while making costly mistakes in 3 games !

The simple bottomline truth is that Carlsen is superior to Anand.

But the tone and tenor of reporting in the Indian media suggested that Anand is actually better than Carlsen and that he kept losing only due to mistakes made by him !
The reporting was never dispassionate or even handed.

Anand being an Indian, patriotic perspective is bound to show up from all quarters, including Indian fans and media.
You're only exhibiting your naivety and your recourse is to stop whining about it.

@piri In chess, the player who makes less misktaes usually wins..
and the Indian middle class apologists, who were labouring hard all these days to try and suggest that Anand was somehow better than Carlsen and that all of the latters victories happened due to mistakes on the part of Anand, can now perhaps say repeatedly and loudly that Anand made 3 mistakes while Carlsen was comprehensively beaten in 1 game !!

whole world is praising Vishy for his hard fought match. gms and chess experts has appreciated Anand's fighting spirit. even today's game he took brave decision and go for a positional sacrifice. i've seen many comments since past 2 weeks and hardly any one was saying Anand is stronger than Carlsen. everyone was praising Vishy for his fighting spirit and giving tough fight as compared to last year.
