Congratulations to both Saina and Srikanth! You have made India proud once again!

More interestingly, it was great to see both of your photos on the front page of the dailies. You have shown other options (other than cricket) to the new generation!

May you win many more titles all over the world!

New Badminton Star on World Horizon !
by Vijay K on Nov 17, 2014 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

Kidambi Srikanth has beaten world beater - two times Olympic Champion and five times world champion in his own backyard, in straight two games ! Bravo ! Mind you this was not by a fluke or very bad game by Lin Dan. Srikanth played with a strategy and dominated the game. Lin Dan was outmaneuvered. Lin Dan was not able to read and counter Srikants' strokes. Well done Srikanth ! Every Indian is proud of your feat ! As TV Commentator said in the live telecast "A new Badminton Star is born on World Horizon"

As a real indian, common man, minister and prime minister all feel proud when our sportsmen achieve something great. There is no politics in this. In past Tendulkar was congratulated many times, cricket team for winning world cup, hockey team for winning asiad gold. When these recognition comes from topmost person in country it boost te morale of player. They get the feel that yes country is looking after them and following them and praying for their victories. Don't try to put your sick mentality here calling it politics.

Looks like you are seeing all statements as politics.... Sorry dude you need to watch it...... You should have appreciated Modi even when he was busy in Australia....... HE is trying to motivate ALL so that people work more harder with JOY...... Have you ever seen earlier PM wishing??? They used to wish only for Olympic, Asia cup and some Cricket tournments and not other SPORTS

i agree with manish. by just saying these words, Modi added a few hundred more votes from south in next election.
he shd not do this otherwise how youth icon shri rahul gandhi ji will become PM.
Down Down Modi.

Yes when your son achieve something don't praise him. Be indifferent to him. For prime minister all countryman should be like son and daughter. And praising them is depiction of love one has for all not politics. Really till people like you are in this country we cannot progress. Better do something worth than just trying to find faults unneccessary.

Most shameful of you to make a mockery of a sincere comment. Would you have said it if the comments were from Rahul Gandhi ?
