Hope this settles the issue of GOAT of men's tennis. Majority of the people support Federer. Agassi is just one of the individual and has one vote. In a democratic world, its what the majority say counts. So, lets agree that Federer is the greatest of all-time. Nadal still has few years to make up and he is always a contender for the GOAT. But, Nadal clearly can't lay claim for the greatest with his present records. Federer records are numerous and his only black mark is the h2h he has with Nadal. But the majority know its not a big issue to pull down Federer's greatness. Let all applaud the concept of voting brought by Rediff.

Federer is much elder than Rafa. Federer is fit and a single handed player. Federer got the elegance and charm in his game style. Federer is modest and great ambassador for the game than Rafa. Rafa will lose to his rival Nole who is one year younger to him. Take out Roland Garos, Rafa has done nothing great. Rafa's losing streak started.
every1 is entitled to their opinion..Agassi is looking only at H2H.....what abt #GS's, weeks, titles and numerous records which GOAT Fede holds.....and will never be broken ?

You are right. Fede's records talk for itself. Nadal looks to be the likely player to beat most of his records. But until then Fede is the GOAT.

fake anuraug....yes few of GOAT fede's records...like # of weeks at 1, consecutive and total appearances at GS's , qf's, sf's, f's will never be broken
im also a nadal fan n feel he is a better player amongst d two.talking of records deres one record of federer which is always overlooked n which no one can beat is dat he has never been injured thruout his career n has not missed a single grand slam.he is a supreme althlete n no one can cme close to him on dat but at d end of their respective careers nadal wud hv overtaken federers gs tally of 17 which federer himself has accepted.

I was a die-hard Federer fan, and always supported him in any contest with Nadal. But then the reality is undeniable -- Nadal has defeated Federer DOZENs of times even when Federer was at his peak. Nadal has won on all surfaces and conditions and has defeated all other players. Of course, Federer has the more complete and artistic game while Nadal is more about grit and powerplay. But that doesn't take away from Nadal's achievments -- 13 Grand Slams would on their own make him one of the greatest ever. So even though I still like to see Federer play and win, I'm forced to concede that Nadal is even better.

Out of the 13 GS 8 are on clay, wheras federer has 16 on other surfaces & 1 on clay. Even 26 masters most of them are on clay 7 even the victories over Federer majority will be on clay.

Let me put the converse. Federer's 17 GS - 9 are on HC and only 1 on clay. Whereas Nadal has 8 on clay and 3 on HC. Plus 2 on grass to Federer's 7 on grass. So, every player has a favourite surface. But that's not the only reason for Rafa to be rated higher as per Agassi. He also mentions about the H2H 23-10 record. In Majors, Rafa has a 9-2 record (2 losses in 2006-2007 Wimbledon final, when he was still learning to play on Grass. He beat Federer in 2008 Wimbledon final). Rafa's 9 Major wins over Federer have been on Grass 1, Hard Court (Federer's most productive surface) 3-0 and Clay 5-0.
