Seeing nadal getting tested against the 35 yrs old stepanek shows two interesting things... i). nadal is getting increasingly beatable and his invincibility is clearly shaken... ii) federer can play much better than stepanek... so at 35 yrs, he may still remain in the top 10 ranking. another player performing at top level even at 35 yrs is tommy haas.... so federer can definitely play at the top level for another 3 to 5 yrs covering Rio olympics in 2016.

Federer is now widely accepted as the GOAT. His records are the bench mark for others like Nadal, to beat. Fede can surely play on for few more years comfortably.
