Proof of the pudding is in eating. Going by that adage Christiano Ronaldo literally turned out to be the duplicate of the original Brazilian! It is amazing it takes all of three matches for the best footballer of the world to reproduce his best footballing skills of club football for his country !At last the real Christiano Ronaldo in full bloom could be seen in action whether it was sprinting with the ball, Spot kick,lob into the Goal…and so on and so forth. For once he was seen passing the ball to others, getting ball from others ..fully involved as a team man who could have almost pulled it off the required 4-5 goals with little bit of luck! No wonder he got his first WC Goal yesterday! Compare this to his earlier outings when he would either stand aloof like an Indian VVIP for ball to come to him or aimlessly run up and down the field with hardly getting to even touch the ball! In fact this was the story why the side got thrashed by the Germans by 4-0 which ultimately proved decisive in exiting them from WC. There was that poignant scene of the GK seen crying on the bench ! The CR vs rest debate will go on for quite some time now but the fact remains CR and the rest could not gel as a cohesive unit and when they did the result was there for everyone to see! Moral of the story ? Unlike in the long drawn leagues, in WC you have to start in right earnest in top gear right from the start. That way Messi is relatively doing much better job with 4 Goals scored
