Fedex can go the distance this time. He seems to be in good form.

He always seems to be in good form till some middle level journeyman puts that form to an end.Benneteau has the goods..he gave the so called GOAT a torrid time the last time they met in Wimby.

You are talking about Fede who is no longer in his prime. But he is still doing great being ranked 4. Lets us see Nadal play when he is 30 plus, when after that age the person is no longer in the prime form.

As you said Fedex is the GOAT.... and IMO he remains GOAT until Nadal beats his GS titles record and no. of weeks at #1. Nadal has been #1 for 141 weeks and Fedex has been #1 for 302 weeks.

To put that in another perspective...
Fedex has been #1 for 5 yrs and 42 weeks....
Nadal, #1 so far is 2yrs and 37 weeks..

To put that in further perspective..FedUp has been no.1 for a long time when there was no competition worth the name.No.1 ranking depends on the competition available and means nothing much.So it is meaningless.

Your repeated argument that Fede didn't face much competition in his earlier days will always be inconclusive. Competition is there all the time.

He made the competition look like that easy. Many of those prime days competitors have retired early or past their prime early itself.

So Fede's greatness of #1 ranked weeks doesn't diminish. He monopolized the field with 237 consecutive weeks ( 4 yrs and 29 weeks) as #1.

The only true part of your post was the word "IMO"...so please speak only for yourself and stop making claims that what you say is the public view or any accepted or official view.Have a good day.
