Colombia was definitely not one of the favorite teams in 1994 WC. It was not even a dark horse. It has never been considered a footballing superpower even in South America but in this WC it is performing better.
Carlos valderamma was a great mid-fielder in the 90"s Columbia team. I still remember the perfect defence splitting pass against the then West Germany in the WC 90. The match was tied 1-1 with the germans lucky to get away with a draw. Higuita the columbian goalie was the villain in the defeat against cameroon in the round of 16 with a foolish dribbling move against Roger Milla , who made him the sucker! Columbia should go to the last 4 in this world cup.
