Dear Sania, we have no issues with you As brand ambassador of telangana. But why not Others. What happened to Laxman, Saina, I Think every INDIAN has the right to be a brand ambassador. You don't need to prove it. It should be seen.

That's a silly argument , so what she is one among them , you mean it should have been either Laxman or Rajasthani Saina , but not sania just because she is a Moslem ?

The point is, Sania, you don't have to prove anything to anybody. Your achievements in Tennis, and your popularity around the world speak for themselves. See, stray dogs bark at the raising sun every morning. Does the sun need to prove anything to these stray dogs ? So, Sania, you be yourself, and keep doing what you do best. And these stray dogs will become quiet in time. My hearty congratulations on being appointed Brand Ambassador for Telengana.

To be a Brand Ambassador, one need not have your born/live/marry/speak qualifications (though Sania speaks Telugu well). Anybody can be a Brand Ambassador, of virtually any place or product. As for Telengana (and not for Hyderabad, you dumbo), there is no person who has achieved more at the International level, and has more star power/popularity than Sania Mirza. Hence, her appointment.
Saina Nehwal was born in Haryana, but lives in Hyderabad for sporting facilities. VVS and Gopi don't have the international popularity that Sania has.

If anybody can be a brand ambassador irrespective of place, then Venus Williams and Serena Williams are more suitable. They have more reputation than Sania...

That is the problem with people like you who dont read what Dr. Laxman said in its entirety but just take peacemeal information posted by vested interests and or journalists and start commenting. See TRS government decided on a rule that only people who have their ancestor origins in Telangana before 1956 are eligible for education scholarships, aren’t these double standards?” Dr. Laxman was pointing to this rule and the fact that Sania is daughter in law of Pakistan the same way as Congress proudly states that Sonia is India's daughter in law. Please international popularity is not a measure for being state brand ambassador but the amount of work done for the state and development of people in that state makes you a better brand ambassador and there are many many more Muslim women in Hyderabad who have done just that. The fact is every politician does not want to do his homework and take the easy way out. Think understand the issue and then comment. CALLING PEOPLE NAMES DOES NOT MAKE YOU INTELLIGENT but reflects on your intellect.
Great grand father and grand father worked for cruel nizam and cruel PM liyakat ali of hyderabad state, who were in favour of pakistan. Yourself married to Pakistan.
