Argentina team (with Messi) is like Indian cricket team of 90's heavily dependent on Tendulkar to win the matches. Germany is like Australian cricket team of 90's with full of quality star players (Gilly, Hayden, Ponting, Mc Grath, Shane Warne). So Germany deserves it to win.

But it was in the penelty shootout and they were also trying to take the final into shootout...!
The team with a legend like Messi was totally in a disarray, right from the start to finish they were simply concentrating on defending rather than attacking. On the contrary the Germans were attacking whole through the match. The tenacity,agility & accuracy of Messi had vainshed.Totally disappointed with Messi & team. The better team won, CONGRATS Germany.
In contrast to the Brazil Germany fight this was a true final. Both sides keenly contested but the saying goes the best always get the best. Germans never depended on one individual and that is the secret behind Argentinas and Brazil loss to Germany.

So the fact that Messi, Higuain and Palacio did not even put the ball at goal one on one with GK was because Argentina depended on one individual?
