THE CREEKING GERMAN MACIHINE COULD BREAKDOWN ?
by damodaran mohan on Jul 04, 2014 02:46 PM

The observations in the column about a better looking French side is correct. Although the Germans were considered favorites before start of the game but going by the performances of round 16 France looked a far more organized side with very planned build up of attack. Germany on the other hand , except for the first match against Portugal didn’t look all that a potent attacking side. The build up of attack was haphazard and didn’t look to be playing to a plan with frustration visible in the matches against Ghana and Nigeria. Given this background it is not going to be all that easy for the Germans to come up with the needed re-engineering to give an improved performance. Anyway given their reputation of being an “efficient German machine” it remains to be seen how they handle a new look French side instilling a sense of purpose that means business..
