Wawrinka is able to put the ghosts to rest and win a Grand Slam event. While it is a pity that Nadal could not put up a fight due to injury, there is no taking away the credit from Wawrinka, who played absolutely the best tennis of his career so far. Would love to say that too but credit has to be given to Wawrinka..he played that particular match and deserved the Cup.
