The official statement from his club was that it is ruptured anterior that damaged his left knee ligament. He is expected to undergo treatment for 6 months ahead after surgery near future. This means, Theo will miss the rest of World Cup 2014 season. His team mate in Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey tweeted supportive comment and hopes Walcott will come back stronger. It was indeed a fantastic season and all of his team mates hope he will recover soon.
Everytime England produces best players like Bullard, Barry, Jaglieka, Walcott, Kieron Dyer, Joe Cole, Owen ...the list is Endlist than any other country but they are always engaged in controversy or injury or media blackslash!

http://www.newslobby.net/walcott-will-skip-the-world-cup-2014/ Theo was the youngest player to play at 75 days as he was just 17 years old. He earned selection for Euro 2012 and took his team to score 3-2 over Sweden although Fabio Capello did not take him for 2010 tournament. It was a surprising moment when Sven Goran Eriksson made him enter the field in 2006.The injury was a big blow for the club and his gesture over Tottenham fans will not be taken further. When he was carried away, he does not seem to injure that serious.
they've got players like lennon, townsend and co to cover for walcott.. its not as if he was first choice for england anyways.. where is the so called heartbreak? its a pity for him personally and for arsenal i hope & pray that he gets well soon..
