Sorry to see Nadal is not defending. He is a talented player who gives more than 100% in every game. But the only thing that turns off a lot of true tennis lovers is his mannerism of picking his pants, smelling it and wiping the fingers in his t-shirt or hair. Why does he do it? Not a single player in the history of tennis have not had such mannerism. can any of Nadal fans explain?

'True tennis lovers' are interested in the results and not in mannerisms.
'True tennis lovers' appreciate the nuances of the game and don't give a damn about mannerisms like picking pants or crying on court after being thrashed.
'True tennis lovers' appreciate the game whoever wins and don't sit around cribbing or badmouthing the players they don't like and their fans.
And above all, 'true tennis lovers' just love the game and don't go around calling themselves 'true tennis lovers'.
Hope that answers your question

People like Federer and Nadal have such impact on people that they are talked about whenever tennis comes up for diacussion
.You yourself jump in and abuse Nadal and his fans whenever there is a talk on tennis.Does that suggest you are worried he will win?
