It is a shame that such a senior Indian official has been arrested.The referee who has been arrested deserves the severest punishment.The two must be made to rot in jail for tarnishing the name of the country.
Politicians , govt servants etc ,should NEVER be allowed to have anything to do with Sports & Arts organisations. They lack the required discipline to be representative3s of any country! Only former Athletes, Players and artistes should be allowed as both these streams require to be disciplined to pursue their fields of expertise. Chefs de mission must come from decent backgrounds where they have been taught decorum. The Envoys & IOC should NOT intervene to save these shameless goons. A few months in a Scttish prison may be just the medicine for them, others like them.
