Keep supporting your idol Nadal, just like his irritatingUnderwear does... nadal can never be considered the greatest he doesn't have the flair and charisma of a champion.

Wow 'flair' and 'charisma'...did you steal your school dictionary or thesaurus today? Pretty much nothing left in your tank it appears...if you're down to arguments about 'flair' and 'charisma' instead of hard facts...anyway plug on,you might actually believe yourself someday.

21 H2H>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>10 26 Masters >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>23 Federer has not beaten Nadal in any slam except Wimbledon, and that too in 2007.Nadal beat Federer in all the slams they have met. 6 GS wins over Federer>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2 Youngest player to complete a career slam...guess who?? Nobody in the top 30 of tennis has a winning H2H against guess who?? and most importantly all this at age 27,he is being compared to,and winning, against someone 5 years his senior!!! 32>>>>>>>>>27...GOT THAT???
NashikGhati, this boards most celebrated tard, has set new standards by patenting a new scale for tennis 'greatness' with the "7543" scale. For those who would like a good laugh, vide infra for details. It would be more apt to say that the 7543 scale is a measure of FedUp fans desperation.
The 7543 scale is borrowed from rec sport tennis newsgroup. Author a poster called Whisper.
7 points for Wimby (oldest and greatest slam) 5 points for US Open (second oldest slam) 4 for the French (third oldest played on dirt) 3 for Aussie open

I'm sure all the GSs are equally difficult but as you said prestigious scale is definitely the 7543 scale... Fedex is a more prestigious player, no doubt on that.
As it was already stated by Lendle... that he will give all his GS titles for one single Wimbledon.. this clearly shows the importance of Wimby.

abe lodu, its coz lendl never won wimbledon. roger would have said the same ting about french open if he had never won it. period.

No matter how much you harp, Nadal has the best adaptation to the game. Tennis is all about adapting. Vamos Rafa!

your scale is nothing but bu***hit. if u go by ESPN points scale based on the competition level during the Federer and current era the points scale becomes reverse. (Nadal-90 , federer-60) Moreover, nadal career not over yet). when federer was chapmnion there was no real competition for the first place. go and check yourself the points table on espn.com. sweta is right. every grandslam is equally tough. if u wanna aruge that way FO becomes the toughest, which is way sampras couldn never win one.
The way nadal is playing and add to that the common knowledge that he is going to king of clay ( french open) for a couple of years, I feel Federer's Grandslam record ( 17 in number) is under threat
Re: federer's Grandslam record under threat

I dont think its under threat. Nadal may play like this for another year, winning two more slams. He will probably end with 16 GS titles.

Using 7543 scale Fed has 90 pts, Sampras 80, Borg 59 and Nadal 59.
So long ways away.
Wimby is oldest, US Open second, French third and Aussie fourth.
some chaps are disappointed that Djoker could not keep up the momentum in 3rd set but that is because they do not know Nadal's game at all
Nadal is relentless and no opponent can keep up with his stamina including Djoker who is one of the more fit players but Nadal gives his 100% from the first game of 1st set to the very last match point

Djoker played a high risk game yesterday. He knew he had to go for the lines, and go for the winner every single time. That explains his nearly double number of unforced errors compared to Nadal. That's what Nadal does to his opponents. He makes them go the extra mile and take high risks.Sometimes it comes off, especially for Djokovic who can match Nadal in the high stakes high stamina and high intensity games. But most often,it doesnt work, even for Djokovic.

Djoker needs an answer to when the opponent himself starts hitting out. Djoker then tends to wilt.
And playing a brutal 5 setter with Del Po in Wimby SF is understandable - pushing for 3 sets against Wawa here in SF is.....
The Fed or someone said it that the best way to win a final is to play a easy and quick SF.

What a year it was for Nadal! And what a superb display of tennis it was. You are the king currently. Congrats on this superb win. And expecting more....
One of the famous tards here named Rocky proudly declared "If Nadal wins the US Open,I will leave the tennis boards here" . . Nadal showed he is a man and kept his side of the bargain. Will you now show your worth, and disappear forever from the boards,Rocky???Time to stand up and walk the talk.
