This could be a blueprint of how to play Nadal
by NashikMarathi on Oct 12, 2013 09:45 PM  | Hide replies

Rule number one - Give no respect to the scurrying rabbit.

The Djoker gave him no respect in Beijing and a 6-3, 6-4 routine win.

Del Po gave him no respect in Shanghai and a 6-2, 6-4 crushing win.

This is how the James Blakes when he was younger and Davydenkos have treated Nads. That is precisely what the Djoker did in those 7 infamous finals in a row. He crushed the rabbit.

Hopefully the people will learn from this - you don't play with Nadal. You crush Nadal. You don't play anti-tennis with Nadal. You crush Nadal.

Bravo Del Po!!!!!

You're right. Players who play an attacking game and shots without any mercy come on top against Nadal, who has an amazing counter-attacking game.
I hope other players take a leaf out of the book of del potro and djoko's.

You are correct NashikGhati. You cant dominate any player by being submissive.Look at how Nadal treated the so called GOAT abd preeminent player of that time Federer. He left all respect for the post match interviews. On court he bugstomped him like a fly.He swatted the fly away.Result...win after win on any surface anywhere..you name it.He destroyed Federer and left him a bawling child.Certainly even the Minfils , Delbonis , Stratchowsky, Nishikori , Robredo.... (you name it ) have learnt from it.

luck is the reason of nadals success.
by Anuraug Rathor on Oct 12, 2013 08:54 PM  | Hide replies

Everybody except Nadal wins masters tourneys and grand slams due to merit.Nadals success is all attributable to luck.He won 13 (and counting) grand slams due to luck. All his masters wins are due to luck.It is only Federer who wins om merit. These are the great words of tennis whiz kid and knowledge hub Michael. We bow to his supreme knowledge and authority in tennis.

I dont mean to say Nadal has won different GS and master's titles on luck. He was lucky with the draw at some cases and an opponent who gave up easily... which is what I meant by luck.

Yeah we know that Nadal beating Federer and Djoker in GS was because they gave up easily! When did that happen?

ATP needs to induct Michael and Nashik Marathi into their Hall of Fame. Former for the luck theory and latter for the GS equivalence theory!

BTW the GS (all four) are sanctioned by the ITF and not the ATP. The biggest ATP event is I think the YEC.

Luck wears thin
by Michael on Oct 12, 2013 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

Nadal has an unique game of retrieving any difficult shot hit by his opponent and playing waiting game.... for his opponent to make an unforced error. Only players with powerful groundstrokes and having tremendous patience to deal with Nadal come on top to win.
Federer has the game to beat Nadal, but not the patience. Apart from Djoko, Delpotro has proved to be the player to match Nadal.
Nadal still has one more master's tourney to make a record of winning most master's titles in a year.

If he had got that point he would have been ahead 5-4.Still would need to close out the set and win another set.It wasnt Federer he was playing against so it wouldnt be easy.YAWN....get a new act already
