There is some merit about representing your country of birth. However, today you have nomadic parents having children born in countries other than their own nationality. We need to go by international convention of permitting players to represent their adopted nation. It is necessary to severely punish those national teams who fast track nationality of players they want in their team to strengthen teams. A case in point is Australia fast tracking a Pakistani national to permit him playing for CA.
