That was an illustration of the "class" of the Federer fan club.In the same league as vasantiben who has been silenced now.

Seeing latest thrashing in Shangai, expect him to win a single tournament, leave Grand Slam?

There has always been a dip in the form of great players while getting to the end of their career.
Agassi is one such example... his ranking get rock bottom before he got back to number 1 ranking at 33 or so yrs... so cant write off Federer at present.

Do not confuse me with someone called Vasantiben or Tejas. They are different. I'm also a Fedex/Djoko supporter and not all Fedex supporters are same.

Nadal is a great player, no doubt and down to earth as well. Supporting some player during the game makes it interesting to watch the match.

@Anuraug, I support Djoko, who is a great character and a person with simple attitude and not a default Djoko fan. He has brought more color to the game than any one else.

What about Nadal , who is also a person with total humility , a great character who I feel has revolutionised tennis way more than anyone else , and made it far more interesting than the days when Federer was thumping garden variety players to win slams by the buckets ?

I sincerely wish you add 18th Grand Slam to your collection, but I am affraid that it is tough. You have passed your prime and it may need an extra effort to add the 18th Grand Salm. Any way unthinkable things have happened in the past and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Good Luck Mr. Federer.

When greats like Agassi, Connors won grand slams even after 32 yrs of age Fedex can also repeat the same. I'm hoping he will definitely win atleast one more GS before he retires.

its diff, but he can..he needs to be lucky like Djoker in AO, Murr in Wimby and Rafa in USO of 2013(where they didn't face any top3 till finals)

His luck ran out the day Nadal entered the scene. He had plenty of luck with the Roddicks Hewitts Gonzalezs Nalbandians and Safins of the game...it was like he was winning slams without facing any top 10 players !!!

No tennis article is complete without the mention of Federer's name. Such is his dominance of the game for more than a decade.

Yes you are correct Ramadorkan. No tennis article is complete without a discussion of tennis history. And certainly you didnt expect the Shah of Iran to be discussed in an article on Roger Federer ?

Anurag ! did Federer block your promotion? Why are you angry with him? As far as I am and other millions of tennis lovers Federer is a great player and other present day greats (!!) will have to work very hard to achieve what he has achieved in his tennis career.

Whether he wins or loses, Federer remains the main attraction in any tournament, anywhere in the world, as he was in China.

Come out of the time capsule .. nobody cares for this arrogant has-been anymore. It is Djoker-Nadal rivalry everyone cares about right now.
