To those hunting down Anand, dont write him off yet. If he can find a win in the next 7 games and the match goes into tiebreakers, it could well me his match.

Near Perfect
by Ashok Kumar on Nov 16, 2013 09:20 AM

These 2 guys have been playing near perfect games so far. And it is exciting to see both are reduced to just few pieces on board towards the end. When you have few pieces, one tactical error could cause you great damage. That is what happened in the 5th game yesterday. Despite the win, I would still say that the championship is very well balanced. Being a Vishy fan, I would obviously want him to bounce back as quick as possible. Let us pray that.

For whom the bell tolls

This is the beginning of the end. I expected and even predicted that Anand will lose, even before the championship matches started. He will not recover from this loss against Magnus the Great.
The end is not far off. The bells are tolling.

how r u so sure that anand will lose. even gms are saying it will be close fight. have u done any deep analysis on anand and carlsen. carlsen definitely has more chances. but don't underestimate anand's match experience. in previous 2 world championships also anand lose first and then recover.

He is not the Kasparov of Chess. Kasparov retired as undefeated World Champion. Anand's game as declined over the last five years, and except for the World Title which he was able to hold onto by the skin of his teeth, he has not won any other championship.
It's good to be a fan, but one has to be realistic. Anand doesn't see his end has come.

Optimistic fanatics like you can't separate the grain from the chaff.
People like you who are obsessed with Anand are the lunatics.
He will lose royally.
