VISHVNATH ANAND VS SACHIN TANDULKAR
by Goyal on Nov 13, 2013 08:29 PM  | Hide replies

SACHIN IS AS PRECIOUS AND COMMON AS " GOLD " WHILE VISHVNATH ANAND IS A " SUPER DIAMOND " ONLY JEWELED EYE CAN RECOGNIZE & APPRECIATE. HE IS PRICELESS - DO NOT COMPARE.

greatest player....
by dinesh hassija on Nov 13, 2013 04:00 PM

Humans are selfish by default and had never bothered to think about the past... just like we prefer to care and comfortable with our children and almost ignore our parents... therefore all others too be it player, artist, politician, scholar, .... carry weight for short duration only and it is immaterial sports person is from cricket, hockey, chess,..though unnecessary more recognisation is given to cricket only..

anand the greatest

the media has created such frenzy about Sachin. After every Olympics we lament lack of medal winners, hold discussion, debates, criticize all and sundry, carry on blame game crib about cricket, but hypocritically, we still shower attention only to CRICKET and CRICKETERS at the expense of other sports. Leander Paes, Vishvanathan Anand, Dhanraj Pillay, Abhinaav Bhindra, Gagan Singh, Sushilkumar and many more... but we are obsessed with a game which is played by twelve countries. A club level / state level cricket players are accorded celebrity status. Our film fraternity too unashamed follow cricket without giving a glance to other sports / sportsperson.. the people has made Sachin and Cricketers demigods.. foolish..

Viswanathan Anand is undoubtedly the best sports talent and the best ambassador of sports India has produced. He is more precious than Sachin Tendulkar. In our cricket-crazy country, we sometimes forget his contribution. Very Sad.

Different games
by Pakhal Vato on Nov 13, 2013 12:58 PM  | Hide replies

Not absolutely true. Two games are different, one is individual and other is team. In world championship Anand has to play with one opponent only but in CKT batsman has to play against so many teams and bowlers. In final there is one match for CKT but several games are there in chess, to get another chance. Physical fitness, power eyesight and age is main factor in CKT but not in chess. Ckt is a one ball game but chess is not a one move game. Atmosphere, crowd, noise, sleazing are the factors against a batsman but these are not in chess. Performance of batsman also depends on Umpires wrong decision but not in chess.

We can not compare with chess with ckt, chess is game of brain , ckt is game of money media making so much gaga because it earns money , as cricket watcher i love to see Lara , Dravid, Laxman Then SRT why BCCI forgot Dravid when he left the game

it is true we can not compare two games but it is also true Chess played all over the world & respective champions compete for supremacy but cricket only played in very few countries. also note, chess is also 01 move game....01 wrong move can cost you the match. and 01 title defend prolongs to 03 weeks battle of nerve, physique & intellegence.

sporting icons of India
by vaithilingam sankar on Nov 12, 2013 02:41 PM

Vijay,Geet sethi,Prakash Paducone,Gopichand, DhanrajPillai,PT Usha G8 Milka also retired fm their sports not even a stampsize ack. Leander still going strong in Tennis where it is physically demanding no ack. Not taking the credit off fm Sunny,Kapil and Tendulkar, cricket in India suits our personality where we hit a stroke and admire it and make more than 1 minute 4 the nxt ball (Mhd Azarudin style). I do not know whether there are cricketers other than Sunny,Kapil, Tendulkar (may be Zaheer /Yuvraj) who works hard AFTER representing India.

He was for almost 2 decades. He broke the Soviet's dominance... that is enough to place him a notch above Sachin.
