But Nadal has won 7 Opens already,plsu 2 Wimbledon,apart from 3 finals lost,plus 1 win and 1 finals loss each at Aus and US Open,so by your own argument being 5 years (so called)GOAT Fede's junior he is the GOAT.

Rafa can become GOAT for sure in future...if he breaks all Fede's records...till then Fede is GOAT .

That makes Federer the GOAT, becoz he has played 5 finals and won 1 at FO. He is and might remain the only player who played 5 finals in all 4 slams. GOAT

Tennis is not a game of records.If you consider records then Sachin is the GOAT in cricket...but nobody believes that without an argument.

every sport is a game of records...who holds the records is the GOAT...ofcource Sachin is GOAT in cricket (who else do u think)....MSchumi is GOAT in F1 car....Pele in football...and Fede in tennis .

It's 'of course'...and no, who owns then records is not the GOAT. Records are subjective statistics.... so if you are so obsessed by statistics then Rafa leads so called GOAT in head to head and is therefore a better player than Federer.Or is that particular record exempt from consideration??

1 H2H record is bad doesn't nullify other 25 records from ur resume...n i m not the only 1 saying Fede is GOAT...just google, listen to commentators/experts or check any tennis source u like...n find out who is the GOAT in tennis .

Yes,I dont agree that either Federer or Sachin are GOAT in their sport.And again I am not alone...you can also google or listen to any source you like,and you will find multiple experts or commentators who feel the same.
The writer forgot to mention that it took GOAT Fede 11 years(PLUS SOMEONE ELSE TAKING OUT AN INJURED RAFA NADAL) to win the French.BUt then,he didnt manage surface change like Nadal and Djoko. I watched the yesterdays match and was praying to Almighty that Nadal shud lose.I thought maybe GOAT Fede had finally managed to catch the right sources and arrange surface change at the French Open,just like Nadal and Djoko had managed surface change in Wimbledon 2008,2010,and 2011.Alas,it was not to be...but I will reveal the conspiracy behind the surface change at Wimbledon,which I know about through my important sources

You dont know anything about tennis Mayur.Yes.There was a steep fall in spectator interest due to GOAT Fede scooping up all the grand slam crowns in his golden period 2003-2007,where there was no competition worth the name and he only had to contend with fading stars like Hewitt,Safin,Nalbandian etc.Or with chicken like Roddick who would fold under pressure.There was massive fall in spectator interest and sponsorship.So the ATP bosses decided to do something about it.There was a top secret meeitng in the Italian resort town of Parma,attended by the patron of the AELTA the Duke of Kent,Jack Kramer,Rod Laver, and top ATP bosses.They decided that since Nadal was emerging and had already thrashed GOAT Fede in the 2008 French Final,apart from giving hima run for his money in 07 Wimbledon final,it would help to ensure Nadal won Wimbledon 2008 to create some competition and a rivalry.They decided the best way to do this was to make a surface change in Wimbledon to slow it up.Fine layer of clay was set up below the grass which made the surface slower and heavier.It worked,as Nadal won in 2008.The same experiment was repeated in 2010 and 2011.Then it was made harder and faster to help Djokovic style fo play.I was told this personally by the Duke of Kent when I met him at Chequers,the UK Prime MInisters country house in Gloucestershire.That is the conspiracy.It proves Nadal is just a clay courter and Djoko just a hard courter,only GOAT Fede is all court expert

U r right.. even they changed french open surface after rafa was winning and the tornament got boring...roger was reaching finals due to this change...but stil couldnt beat the BOSS

Dear Mithani....... You are so very right....... There was no competition at all at Federers dominance era... Thats the exact reason why dominated that time.. if you check federer did not do his debut in 2003.. he was there much before that.. but since there were other legends around that time, he could not win.. the moment other players got old he started winning.. Can you please name the opponents that challenged Roger that time.. Hewit, Roddick, Safin,Chang.. who??? why is he not dominating now.. because again there is Competition.. Nadal, Nole, Murray, Ferrer , Tsonga, Monfils... and also please note that Rafa defeated roger on his debut at FO.. Rafa won evrything in Rogers presence.. so Rafa is GOAT....

AliM...talking about competition, Fede was so good that others were nothin then(FYI hewitt, rod, saf, etc were all young mid 20s n GS winners in Fede's dominant period) .... to be the GOAT...u need to hold all the records which Fede holds now...so he is GOAT...if Rafa breaks those records he will be GOAT... but not before that.
