Dear Rediff, Please take care of things when you product this sort of article, when ever we take note of women sports , immediately it comes in our mind that our golden girl PT Usha, and other like Ashwni nachappa, Shiney Wilson , Diana Edulchi etc , because these were the initial people who came into limelight then rest of people (women) followed them. Where is Koneru_Humpy ? Did you pay tribute to Pinki_Pramanik who was framed on gender issues ? Where is the legacy_why not mention few words about the history of women's progression in Indian sports ? Why not pay ode_to PT_Usha and Karnam_Malleswari? Because they cannot give kicks_to the eyes ?

World no.2 Humpy and World no. 14 Harika are not in the list.. but World no. 59 Tania is in the list. the selection is not on the basis of achievements but on the basis of beauty.. Humpy who bought so many gold medals for india in Asian games, won world championship.. but she is ignored..

the people or media who talk about women empowerment are usually inclined towards beautiful women.. and to impress those women they hide their dirty mindset and show they care for women..
