A good team is the one which plays to make its country proud, and so it should be with the political party.
Congress is playing to win for its own sake. Choose BJP for the country, support and follow
Sh. Narendra Modi @narendramodi with #NaMo4PM

Mock interview - new head coach Mr XYZ (Australian/German/Dutch)

Q. Hi, How are you doing and how is India ?
A. Oh I am doing good and India has always been a fantastic place to visit.

Q. What is your overall comment on the current state of Indian Hockey?
A. Well, Talent is abundant, but we need to convert that into results and thats why Iam here.

Q. You have been given contract till 2016 Rio games. What prospects do you see of India's chances there?
A. Our first and foremost goal is to qualify for the olympics. And let me tell you, it is not that easy. But I have plans in place to train our boys really hard for that. Once done, we will plan for olympics. Lets take 1 step at a time.

Q. India has a glorious past. What is lacking now?
A. TO be honest, modern hockey has changed a lot. With the introduction of astro-turfs, Europeans have taken over the top slots. But I am quite confident, with hard work and proper planning, India can comeback to glorious days. Again as I said, my style of coaching is very Indianised and I am looking forward to my tenure here.

Q. What steps need to be taken to improve our hockey?
A. First and foremost, a thorough and a transparent system of creating talents should be in place. I am working with various academies here to shortlist 30 probables for the national team. Once done, they should be trained in a scientific and modern way. Emphasis should be given to speed and agility that ball dribbing and skill. Short passes are the way to go. Let me assure you, you will find a change in the team soon

Q. Final question, where do you see Indian hockey 5 yrs from now.
A. Let us not predict too much. At this state, it will take another 4-5 years to even get back to winning ways. Target should be GOLD at 2020 olympics. Realistically, we dont stand a chance at Rio games. Thanks.

2 years later ....Hockey India annoucement:

Coach Mr XYZ sacked due to below-par performance of the hockey team. A new coach hunt in on....

and the story continues........

(Botton Line - Future of Indian Hockey is destined to disaster. The problem is not with coach or talent, it is with the management. But we only change the team and coach and the management remains to do further damage)

Rightly said. Whatever you said is a bitter truth about Indian Hockey. Management is making fool to public. The selection in team is even not very honest. Everywhere politics is involved. They show us dream to win a gold medal in Olympics and WC and we fool just believe them.

I feel we need to understand the reality. We WERE good in Hockey and thats it. Other countries are way ahead now and it would be impossible to catch them up. We should concentrate on the following games at an International level Cricket, Archery, Shooting, Tennis, badminton, Chess.

FOR Other game forget playing at an International level. We can continue to play games like Hockey, Football, Basketball etc for our recreation only.

Why sacking the coaches for non performance? What is that the govt./sports bodies doing for any sports? Our entire focus is on cricket only. If anybody coming up in other sports, it is purely because of their caliber and hard work. So instead of sacking coaches one by one, first look out for talents at the young age. Nurture them from that age so that they are fully fit for competition later
