hi krishna and ashirwad.. read the first page of the article clearly.. it clearly says ivanosevic and kraijek were 'grass' court specialized/talented players who were expected to win wimbledon some day or the other.. the ones mentioned here (barring agassi to a certain degree) have had poor results on grass through out their careers..
A good team is the one which plays to make its country proud, and so it should be with the political party. Congress is playing to win for its own sake. Choose BJP for the country, support and follow Sh. Narendra Modi @narendramodi with #NaMo4PM
No one can win such a major championship by fluke. If some one can win such a major tournament by fluke, then the tournament will loose all its glory and recognition. Only talent and hard work can help a player to achieve such victory.
Nobody can win such a major championship by fluke. If it was by fluke, then Wimbledon will loose its glory. Only real talent and hard work can bring success in such tournaments.
It is sad instead of congratulating the wimb champion you are digging out the undesired things. These are Cheap tactics. What u will get from these numbered players.
Rediff please stop writing such articles to defame any one

Agree. The British are jealous at the Frenchwoman winning the Trophy.Good thing that our Cricket team beat the pommies and put them in their place. They still think that they rule the world.Their glory days are over.

its just an article.. someone who follows tennis would know that there is absolute truth to the facts presented here.. dont over analyse too much.. just an article.. read and forget..
No one in their right mind would call Agassi and Hingis unlikely Wimbledon winners while labelling Ivanisevic and Novatana as unsurprising winners. Plain dumb.

y not.. what has agassi achieved in wimbledon barring his one victory.. ivanisevic was a 'pure' grass court player.. he has a dismal record on all other courts..if he ever won a grand slam, then it had to be wimbledon.. if im not wrong, he made it to the wimbledon finals atleast 5 times
I do not think that it was a fluke at all. Marion is very good at what she does. The Indian Women won the 4x400m relay at the Asian Games going away and yet individually they did not win any golds. Does this make their team victory a fluke?
