Murray wins Wimbledon
by rocky on Jul 10, 2013 12:37 PM

murray has what it takes to make it a golden carrer grandslam.. it was unfortunate that he missed this year's french open. injury is something nagging djoko, murray and nadal... but federer has shown he has the greatest fitness level compared to the other men's tennis players.

What a match
by pradeep agarwal on Jul 08, 2013 05:18 PM

It was power house tennis played at its best by Murray. He somehow managed to stage remarkable comeback from semi final match onwards. You can't ask for a more nerve racking last point with Djockovic refusing to relent till his forehand landed into the net

ha ha ha. I always said Murray will beat Djoker. I said in 5sets but finished in 3sets.If Djoker in his prime wins only 1-2 slams each year, he won't even reach Rafa's 12GS. No1, No1 will ever beat GOAT Federer's any tennis records.

You must have utilised every single one of your 5 functioning brain cells to make that prediction. And the subsequent prediction of nobody beating Federer's record didnt even utilise that.Stop gazing into the crystal ball and get real. The only thing we can talk about Federer is his glorious past.

Ya sure. You planning to erase 12 GS titles, olympic gold, career slam, and a 2:1 record against someone called the GOAT of tennis from his records?I dont think you are that important.

why will i erase 1 of the gr8s Rafa's achievement. But Federer wil remain gr8test ever. Frankly say, who do u think can break his any records. Give due respect to every1 dude. Federer has achieved everything becoz of his hardwork n determination. He still maintains fitness and is eager to compete although he has nothing left to achieve.

You made a retarded statement that when Rafa retires he wont even have a glorious past to talk about. Is that due respect?Whereas I gave due respect by saying Federer had a glorious past.So give respect and take respect dude. And whether Federer is greatest or not,you have your opinion and I have mine.Dont try to impose your opinion on others and maybe they will also show you some respect.Till then, you will get in return exactly what you dish out to others.

if he is taller, he would have shake the hands by jumping the opp court, if he wins/lost the points.

Will be Murray be knighted?
by NashikMarathi on Jul 08, 2013 12:24 AM  | Hide replies

Sir Andy Murray...?

Maybe he can get a Lordship - over Wimbledon Province. Lord Andy Murray of Wimbledon.

In all seriousness - Congrats Andy. Talk about pressure from a country. The hallowed Sachin had 10 players in the team to lean on. In tennis singles there is just you and that is it.

Sachin single handedly carried on the burden of Indian Cricket & its expectation for so long, but we feel proud in criticizing him & his achvmnts. Great People we r!!

Sachin 15K runs at 53.86
Dravid 13K runs at 52.31

Then there was the incredibly clutch VVSL who won matches with innings under pressure.. Ganguly and later Sehwag.

In bowling was Srinath and Zaheer and the 600 wkt taking Kumble and the 400 wkt taking Harbhajan.

Sachin was hardly alone and did nothing singlehandedly - give it a rest. Don't insult the other players.

I dont agree with you Nashik. People in India worshipped cricket because we had Sachin. Dont forget that when Australia were world winners, he has been the one to put up a fight against them on most occasions. Sachin was a game changer, people watched cricket matches to just watch his batting and nothing else.

No Indian people did not worship cricket because of Sachin. BTW there was Sunny before Sachin.

Don't forget the 281 and 182 by VVSL and Dravid followed by 7 wickets by Harby against those same Aussies. That was probably India's greatest win in India vs Aussies. Sachin had nothing to do with that.

Check the 233 and 148 in the Adelaide test versus the Aussies when we won in 2003 - again Dravid and Laxman followed by the Agarkar wickets. Dravid 72 not out in I2 chase. SRT did little.

You may not have followed these wins because Sachin did little but don't speak for us all.

People older than you said the same thing about Sunil Gavaskar which was much more valid with Sunny compared to Sachin.

And on and on......

Sandeep, when you talk about tennis stop talking cricket.
Still there is some fools/media/excricketers who praise Dhoni as captain extra ordinary when his contribution to victoy is always less than 1/11.Dhoni is selfish, match fixer, politician who destroyed lot of cricketers career even though he can't find a place in anyformat except India where the game is controlled by politicians, mncs & under world.
SRT's contribution is much more than others in a team game.
He is praised by the Legend Bradman.
So no fool can demean him or his contribution to team India.

Now think of this Andy Murray straight setting that clown Djoker versus your gutless performance against Djoker in 2011.

You absolutely laid an EGG in that match - actually that whole year with the Djoker. Djoker has trouble beating the Andy's (Murray and Roddick!!) for chrissakes.

Now go back to your knees and posting photos of your "Poker" on FB. What next? Photos of Bingo in an old peoples home?

Pssst Nashikghati....must be painful having to call your idol a clown, just days after having predicted that he would walk over all competition to win Wimby!!Anyway talking about setting the record straight...Nadal still holds superior record over the Djoker and won their only GS meeting this year.Chew on that and go back to your senseless posts again.Keep us amused.
