It is difficult ...very very difficult to confess..what Armstrong has shown to this generation is that you are never too late to confess your wrongdoings...hats off to him

In India some sport persons got caught on match-fixing and were barred from participating further but did they ever confess of cheating?? Armstrong did so. He is not by any any means a HERO, but he admitted he is a flaw character. How many murderers, rapists, criminals, scammers in India have accepted the guilt in public?

Agreed, he is not a hero and deserves all the briackbats.
But atleast he confessed, there was no need for him to do so, he could have ocntinued his denail.
