As usual Hypocrit Indians or easterners will have to use cultures to compare things. So everything thing is rosy in eastern culture is it?

It's not to say eastern culture is better that western culture or vice versa. There are good and bad aspects of both. A lesson that eastern culture teaches us is that we shouldn't forget ourselves or our roots or lose humility once we achieve stature. If we adopt this, it can be a good check against going astray. This is not to say Indians or Asians follow this to the T, maybe they don't at all. The point is that this is something that people can take a leaf out of and adopt in their lives to prevent them from forming a false sense of pride, power or greed.

But then its not just east who practices good behaviors or cultures. the west does too and in a way lot less complicated than the easterners. I think stuff like murders don't happen out of bad teaching by a culture. My roots are from where you are but i see people who weren't exposed to the so called "decadent or corrupt culture" as western culture do heartless and heinous deeds. Would you agree India is filthy corrupt? Who forgot to take one or two leaf out of what has been taught?

Why do you have an inferiority complex? I never termed western culture as "a decadent or corrupt culture". You're projecting your own insecurities. I merely implied that while western culture inherently permits man to flourish in society through wealth, property & position it does not emphasise the need to remain rooted at all times. That's one lesson that eastern culture offers and that's only what I pointed out. And I reiterate, living in India or China doesn't make people followers of this. In face most are either ignorant or turn a blind eye to this. I'm not pitting one people against the other. I'm just pointing out that different cultures offer different positives and this is one that eastern culture offers that everyone can/should adopt. So stop hyperventilating and try to understand the thought behind the verse.

You brought out the essence of the east, a way of life rooted in sharing, living the moment with others around you and many other inherent good things. It is not a superior or inferior way of life. But it is essential for healthy survival of our species.
If we can learn some of the western civic responsibilities, we can prosper in modern times.
