ALREADY IOC BANNED INDIAN OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION DUE TO CORRUPTION AND OTHER CHARGES. ANYHOW WINNING 1 OR TWO MEDALS FROM MORE THAN 100 CRORES POPULATION SHOWS WE HAVE NOT PROGRESSED THERE ARE SO MANY GAMES WHICH ARE NOT KNOWN TO US. WE INDIANS ONCE UPON A TIME WERE DESCENTS OF ARCHERS, SWORD FIGHTERS, WEIGHT LIFTERS, SWIMMERS, BOAT RIDERS, SPEAR HITTERS, RUNNERS, WALKERS, JUMPERS. WHY WE DONT HAVE GOOD ARCHERS, FENCERS, WEIGHT LIFTERS, SWIMMERS, DIVERS, CANOERS, JAVELIN THROWERS, ATHLETES, LONG AND HIGH JUMPERS. WE HAVE THE HIDDEN STUFF IDENTIFY IT DEVELOP IT. BUT WE PREFER ENJOYING WIN OR LOSS AND COMMENTS OF INDIAN CRICKET. REMEMBER THERE IS NOONE IN CAPABLE OF NUMBER ONE IN CHESS AFTER VISWANATH ANAND.

everyone wants to be a cricketer or tennis player ( 2nd choice )... reason is very clear
Really a great Shame Wrestling, boxing and jevelin throws were associated with ancient Olympics. Now this 'Executive Board' wants to drop wrestling? Many nations participate in this event and I really hope it stays.

True, swimming has umpteen medals and just one person gets all these because there is not much difference between the categories.
I only watched wrestling last year in the Olympics. Its the best sports - love to see the athletes from Iran, Georgia, Russia, Azerbaijan and India compete.
It is a conspiracy by China, US, Australia and others who get a lot of medals but show up with nothing in wrestling - how to compete best, get wrestling out of Olympics.
But mark my word, it wont happen - wrestling is not golf, taekwondo, karate or MMA, its one of the best sports mankind has ever played and there will be total boycott and outcry on this issue. I can guarantee it will never happen.

Tendulkar should start training in Wrestling for the next olympics , so that he can popularize the sports and give it a global appeal
