Sania won a silver for mixed doubles in Asian Games 2010, and a bronze for women's doubles in the CWG 2010 event. Moreover in 2012, Sania won the women's doubles title in the French Open, and had also won the same event in the Australian Open in 2009, with of course foreign partners. It appears that most of the netizens are against her because of her marriage to Paki cricketer Malik.
Sania should focus on playing. She is over hyped player. I hardly remember her winning anything for India. If Saina, Sushil or Vijender speaks thats a different issue.

She is coming from a country that has no clue on sports, fitness, nutrition and training. She has attained a status that many netizens cannot do even in Middle school level. She better speak up rather than zmbies.
I don't think Indians should talk about sports . They do not belong to that arena .The country was about ro be kiked out of of Olympics forum for inefficiency , corruption and political interference , yet there was no sense of shame from Indians . Not even on forums such as this one .In any case Indian sportsmen, like athletes, have not exactly blazed a trail internationally .
She is a washed up loser. She was overrated in the past only because of media. Virtually achieved nothing on the court. Better to focus on real sportswomen like Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu etc.
SHe is an ideal role model for teenagers: as she is a winner both on and off court. Despite suffering serious injuries which halted her progress in singles, she switched to the competitive world of doubles(where the rankings are upto 1000), and she is in the top 10! WIth grand slam and masters events wins, she has shown her class. Much better than the overhyped Saina nehwal, where getting a top 10 in badminton is far easier than a top 50 in tennis. But unfortunately a few Indians think that since Sania speaks her mind, as opposed to the mdeia-avoiding Saina, she must be a publicity hunting player. Her results have effectively silenced all!
