Well..there is lot of hope for someone to emulate Anand, but it is yet to be seen if anyone can break into the top10 rankings in the near future. Krishnan Saiskaran was once ranked world no 24, and even managed to defeat Anand-in-full-form in 2005. Much was expected from him to break into the super-GM category and start winning world titles. But sadly pressure caught him up and he faded away to a distance 75 odd ranking at the moment. Same goes with Harikrishna. He has been in the top 100 for the last 10 years, but yet to win a major world tournament. So is Konery Humpy. While she is ranked 3 in the women's category, she doesnt even figure in the top 250 of the men's category. Parimagan Negi is another promising youngster to be watched closely, apart from the other 3 budding kids.

Anand has laid a path for others to follow. It is yet to be seen if someone can actually cross it and bring laurels.

May be if Anand chooses to train young minds , then we can see mor talents like him but right now I think he will do that only after retirement from world chess. And may be he will pass on his position to his son only because he can train his own son better than training anybody else ....because he can spend more time with his son once he retires. But the question is who will want him to retire. If so India may go behind far away in the chess ranking list atleast till next Super GM comes. So ....
