It is best to retire when one is on top rather than exit undignified; We saw what happened at Wimbledon; we do not want to see Fedex losing to a wild-card next

Federer had been having shoulder problems during the wimbledon, but it was not known to many. Even he did not give that excuse. He is one of the greatest athlete with the hightest fitness level and he is still ranked in the top 10 in the world. So there is not point in asking him to retire now.

You are correct Michael.Nobody knows many things about the greatness of Fedex.Whenever he loses,it is only due to secret injuries or due to secret surface change at the slams promoted by the ATP.This is very secret development. In 2008 and 2010 they changed the surface at Wimbledon to help Nadal win.In 2011 they changed it to help Novak win. This year they didnt bother, but last year also there was surface change. This is known to me through high level sources in the ATP.It is unfair on part of the ATP to be doing this things.

Federer seeded 7th

Federer has always done great at the slams. Seeding should not be an issue and he is still seeeded to reach the quaterfinal atleast. He has reached 36 consecutive QFs in the grandslams, one of his great records.
