The punishment meted out to Bhupathi and Bopanna is a display of sheer arrogance and flauting of power on the part of AITA.
Anybody who have played Tennis at any level will know that Doubles Tennis does not work well by randomly pairing up two players. Partners need to play together for a long time, to understand each other game and to build court-chemistry.
Only Bhupathi and Bopanna were keen in that respect, that they broke up their successful partnerships with their respective partners and decided to play together from the beginning of the Olympic year. They are being punished, and Leander Paes, who broke-up his successful partnership with Bhupathi just to be in the Top-10 ranking, is lauded as a Patriot. What a shame?!
Most people who follow this issue recently think that Bhupathi is the villian. I just have to say that they are not fully informed.
