India won Nehru cup against the Cameroon B side. India played little football but battled hard. Indian football is way behind the rest of the world and this is a refreshing air. Hope the match was not fixed since Cameroon players have a bad reputation in that respect. Compared to the prize money of the useless IPL, which is around 25 crores worth, the prize money here was just 50 lakh for the winning team. Little dreams for a better future in Indian football.

Well, it's not our fault. they sent Cameroon B team. Team India played well and congrats.. be ansportsperson !
India has finally shown signs of revival in soccer! It will be a morale booster for the team to come out of the mindset of losers and will help them in the long journey to the top!

Hope they really get the mindset of winners though they just got past a team without its main international stars!

Where is the revival - I saw the match and it is still the old Indian incompetent team. This was Cameroon B or C, and I suspect the match was fixed. During the penalties the Cameroon goalie kept leaping only one side while Indian players kept placing the other side. Anyway India still deserves some credit for the fight they put on. The standard of this football is still way below par.

The spirit shown by the new Indian team was rather unique.Dont discredit the effort of the players by putting in ur contemplated ideas of match fixing. And moreover the absence of 1 or 2 players from the national side does not make it a C team. When u r creating this kind of fallacies, atleast create one which can be digested by a person who is having the least rational logic.

Cameroon side has considerable bench strength. Losing a few players does not make it a B or C side. Even big teams of Asia will have difficulties beating them.
Anyway, I like the body language and understanding of the players. In terms of techniques and stamina, we are behind. However, mental aspect and playing as a team also are very important. That was missing before. Our hockey team at oylmpics showed huge defficiency on both those aspects.
