I was a fan of Armstrong and I believe that in a clean race, Armstrong still had his chances of winning TDf, may not be 7 consecutive times, but he had the talent to win it atleast twice. (Ulrich was naturally much stronger than Armstrong)
So Armstrong got royally busted with all his finger, foot in the proverbial cookie jar.
Just some tid bits about him..Armstrong came from a broken family, with surname adopted from stepfather. Athletic prowess was the only way to escape from his ordinary life. Armstrong was a gifted athlete, no doubt, but hunger for success was always ingrained in him, may be fueled by his spartan upbringing. It is astonishing to know that Armstrong was strongly on drugs even before being diagnosed with cancer. The cause of his cancer is a moot point, but one is left wondering about the mentality of a man, who had just narrowly beaten death, taking banned drugs and dangerous blood transfusions all for winning.
Then he is a first class liar which probably is a self actualizing fact, to sober himself and to defend his actions to his conscience than for anything, not borne out of any shred of truth.

In any sport where you compete against time you know where you stand before competing...Mr ArmStrong knew very well he had no chance what so ever without doping, no wonder he did what he did. I don’t think he would have won a single race without banned help..
