No no it is not brutal,actually.We dont need to worry.Because Nalbandian will take GOAT out in 2nd round so the rest is irrelevant.
otherwise he would be the one facing Novak in the semis and I am sure Nadal would hate to have that happen to him. It could still happen to him in other grandslams if he fails to defend the french open. Federer is the only one who has beaten Novak in a Grand Slam recently. Federer beat him last year and almost took the title from Nadal. Federer is coming in the French open with no pressure. Pressure will be on Nadal and Novak to deliver.

Nadal is lucky to be no.2 after winning 3 out of 4 slams in 2010 and being in 3/4 GS finals in 2011 winning 1 of them and also losing the Aus Open final 2012 in 5 sets.Novak is also lucky to be No.1 winning 3/4 slams in 2011 and the Aus Open final.Only fellow who has worked and toiled himself to no.(wait for it.....)3!!!!!!! is the GOAT Roger Federer.He almost took the French Title from Nadal last year(losing in 4 sets) and also almost beating Nadal in Aus Open semis(again losing in 4 sets).One thing is sure,he comes to French OPen with no pressure,just like Sania Mirza.Nobody expects him to win.

You are right.Miserable little best of 3 matches shouldnt count.In Grand slam finals,Nadal 6-2 Federer.Ditto overall GS meetings.Federer never had any swagger with Nadal across the net.

Miserable little best of 3 matches like World Tour Finals, on indoor hard, and blue clay or pink grass also shouldnt count.
