I think you should also add Leander Paes. He won several thrilling victories for India in Davis Cup
Amazing Anand !!! After a sequence of 5 cautious games, here comes 2 interesting games and this one is a record in history after 125 years ... Way to go anand and hopefully he answers Gary's criticism as well.
Anand laid the bait pretty early and Gelfand bit the bullet! Amazing that Anand thought like Gelfand and played like Anand...words fail me...fantastic...blessed to have played him in person loooooong time ago....will cherish forever!!
Excellent match play...what else can u expect..Kasparov's comments were maybe a wee bit premature...would love to see Anand wrap up the match and bring it home soon!!
good win for anand, although aided by gelfand's terrible Qf6 , but anand took it from there with a few precise moves to bag it. gelfy's queen was trapped, and the way to untrap it would be to lose his knight and have a terrible position with anand's pieces . aggressively placed attacking the kingside, so it was best for gelfy to resign.
gelfand miscalculated and did not see anand's Qf2 coming trapping the queen.
more importantly in this match, the scores are tied
