Nadal: King of
by HUSSAIN MITHANI on May 12, 2012 03:07 AM  | Hide replies

nadal has been pretty vocal about the red clay being changed to blue. But tournaments surfaces have been changed before so this is nothing new. Wimbledon surface was changed to make it slower and clay-like which is why nadal has been successful couple of times to win it. Ofcourse traditional red clay is slower and more suited to his game that is why he is king of red clay only. He fails on other surfaces. Stop whining Nadal. Nadal should not blame his loss on blue clay. He always makes excuses about his losses. its either injury or the surface. Other players have to deal with the same conditions and getting the job done one way or another. Nadal has threatened to boycott the tournament if the red clay is not brought back. Maybe we should make all tournaments on red clay just because it suits nadal's game. Where is Nadal's sportsmanship and professionalism??? Nadal needs to stop acting like a child.

The heading should say "Nadal king of Red clay but not Blue clay"

Federer and also Djoko have complained about the surface. So maybe they should also stop whining and act sportsmanlike and professional. We cant change every surface to 'indoor hard' either just because it suits the style of 'King of indoor hard'Roger Federer. And no,Wimbledon surface wasn't changed. It's still grass but I guess you stopped watching after 2008.Anyway-ready with an answer yet?Why do you run away every time I challenge you?

Federer Can do it!!!!!!
by Seabiscuit on May 11, 2012 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

If federer plays decent tennis and keep up with his lofty standards, which he does very often, he can win the tournament and shoot up to no.2...... and get tat much closer to no.1..... and moreover novak has so many points to defend post french open.

Yes now that someone has doen him a favour as both the worlds best players are eliminated,he has a good chance. We should change Wimbledon and ROland Garros also to blue clay.

MITHANI, ur statement is ridiculous. Winning a title is not all about beating the top two alone. There are so many variety players to overcome, which the top two player could not do this week. And having said that u can't take anything away from federer, just coz the last two lost out this week. It's like saying pete won 14 majors coz, roger and rafa were not there in that era!!!! UR COMMENT SOUNDS AS RIDICULOUS AS THAT.

the way nadal lost can be compared to the way CSK lost to MI in the recent ipl matches. more players with the heart like that of verdasco are needed to beat nadal on a consistent basis.
