2012 Olympic games are round the corner. Olympics are far greater than any cricket world cup or for that matter the world cup of any other event. Lets forget cricket for a while and give due importance to the deepikas, sushils and shivas which they rightly deserve.
Depike Kumari is really a unsung Hero. Her contributions to indian sports are much higher than any Sachin Tendulkar ot the other cricketers. She is performing well in an extremely competitive sport and no Indian cares.

She has entered for the first time in final of any competition. She is just 18, so age is on her side. To get recongnized by an Indian, someone has to perform consistently, not one tournament wonder. I guess she belongs to your state, that's why your comments seems more emotional.

Pratik, Cricket is played by not even 10 countries and needs the least levels of physical or mental fitness to perform. Archery is competed all over the world..Moreover I do not understand why states are always brought into every subject. She is from Jharkhand and Iam from Tamilnadu.

This is not her first final. She's the Gold Medal winner of 2010 Commonwealth Games and Silver medal winner in the recent Asian Games in which the current World Champions South Korea were in full force.
