This man Usan Bolt is incredible. I have never seen a man in any international race at olympics or world athelitics champ slowing down in last few meters in a 100 meters racve just because he is too ahead of his next opponent. any one who can win a 100 mt race by meters is out of this planet. !!!

All these out of the world records make me cynical - going by past records! Florence Griffith-Joyner's Bolt-like achievements were bismirched by drug controversy years later. I will take all these with a pinch of salt - many times bitten always shy!

You are hardly smart, dear blogger. You don't understand or know what my comment was about. My issue was only with Florence Griffith-Joyner who amazed everyone like Bolt and years later, her reputation was tarnished. Sachin does not come into this at all. Stick to the point.

FLO-JO's reputation was never tarnished. In spite of rigorous drug testing during 1988 olympics she came out clean and she retired after winning that olympics. She died of natural causes in 1998 and the autopsy report came clean that there was no substance abuse or drugs (which would be pretty common for somebody taking steroids). I agree in cases like Ben johnson or Marion jones who were stripped of their titles for taking steroids. We cannot always be sceptical when one breaks a record, especially with the current WADA rules. Almost all the sportsmen (Except cricketers) are randomly tested for steroid usage many times during the year, so gone are the times when one can use steroid for a short time (Either to gain muscles or mass) and leave them before practicing for competition so that they can come clean during that. The WADA tests as i mentioned are pretty random and one of the main clause in that is a player always need to give a yearly time-table on where he would be during the year (So that he can be reached anytime (even during his holidays for that matter) for testing (This was the clause which indian cricketers did not like)

There was controversy for sure and her sudden, untimley death put paid to further enquiry. Agassi was tested positive for banned substance, but well, he just got away with it. But why was it suppressed all the years till he hung his boot? Lance Armstrong is another; sometimes one is too powerful, untouchable while in their heyday! Regarding Flojo, her performance suddenly shot up raising eyebrows for sure. But let us say, all are innocent but let us not be taken for a ride. Like in our much ridiculed justice system, justice delayed is justice denied!
