He was dead for 78 minutes and revived. Hard to believe since the general belief is that if the Brain doesn't get Oxygen for more than 4 minutes one can be "Brain-Dead".
Our own first division footballer Venkatesh collapsed on the field and died because there was no ambulance present to take him to hospital. Unfortunately no media coverage.

Few years back in same bangalore one dempos star stiker cristiano junior died due to cardiac arrest during federation cup final and now venkatesh..I think karnataka have to take football seriously otherwise AIFF should take strong action. All safety and security have to be provided just like cricket, no biasing in sports.
i know it will result in all sort of bad replies but it happened with my mom's mom. She was effectively dead for more than one hour. Even the pandit had come for receiving the cow (Godaan) when she suddenly woke up. All she remembered from that sleep of hers was lots of white light. She lived a normal life for 30 yrs after that event.

It is possible.A person can be dead for a while(heart stops pumping) and then can come back to normal life. The white light during the sleep is due to the electrical shocks generated due to changes in the body due to a still heart.

how long brain cells stay alive without oxygen given by flowing blood, this is un-believable.
