Bhupathi thinks himself too smart and adamant challenging the call of AITA. He does not know where to stop and has not proved himself wise by talking less. Fired too many guns through Press/Media. Got political blessings from Krishna and Maken. A poor guy. He will repent for loss one after another. We know that good players does not react too much against the comments of critics; but, they prefer to give their reply in the court to prove their class.
Bhupathi-Paes pairing hasn't produced a medal in last four olympics, even though they were not on good terms, they came together for last two olympics. Their spat has intensified now, so apparently bhupathi-bopanna pairing looks in a better frame of mind to win something.
Bhupathi and Bopanna have taken USD 72000 each from the Union Sports Ministry for last 1 year for the preparation of London Olympics 2012. AITA appears to be their paternal property. They can do whatever they like. Then what is the use of keeping a body like AITA. Let it be run by Bhupathi and Bopanna.

But they have a decent chance?, and looks like they've already won the london medal. In Bhupathi's words:

mahesh bhupati and leander paes are icon in 1999 when they win wimbeldon and french doubles.At that time sachin tingu,sourav chandidas ganguly failed to set team india in world cup. But today these mb and Lp are out of mind.They catch by unnecessary ego problems. Sania also fall unnecessary topic. Now politics catch some selfish players.They play for publicity not for nation
Winning a GOLD/SILVER Medal for the Country is of prime importance. Accordingly, the best two Players should have been selected by AITA. What they did on 16th June, 2012. We all admit that interest of the country should come first and not the personal interest. Bhupathi and Bopanna have played ugly politics for self interest with the help of Krishna and Maken. AITA was afraid to suspend Bhupathi and Bopanna for violation of model code of conduct. They should wear bangles and play LUKOCHURI in the London Olympics.

You are right. There is no need to maintain the AITA at the tax-payers' money if they cannot assert their authority and select the team. Let the AITA be dissolved and let Mahesh Bhupathi select the team!

You are best in india and there is no doubt about this.The BHUPA started playing watching you.. Dont worry, i am sure BHUPA Baba will not win and if there is a chance of india winning a gold..its becouse of you for tennis. You being the part of gold Quest, will be lethal.
We know why subcontinents never wins the the Medal..Politics..Ego and becouse of one thinking that he is best/great..although they are nothing.
Any Tennsi lover knows what and where is BHUPA baba and his standard... He can win only MIX Double where not even 500 people go to watch the wimbledon..Lolz

Paes is a fine player who did great things for India but there is no reason to bring Mahesh down. If there was any decent chance of winning a medal why would Mahesh refuse to pair with Paes ? Think about it, if they can win a medal together it would definitely bring glory to Mahesh and it would be absolute stupidity to not do so. (this has nothing to do with India, pure self-interest) However as Mahesh correctly reasoned there is no real chance of winning anything so whats the harm in trying with a partner with whom you have better chemistry ?

Who selects the team? AITA or Mahesh Bhupathi? Who gave the power to Bhapathi to dictate terms to the AITA. No individual can be greater than the game.
