pairing sania with paes is not on merit, it's a compromise to assuage paes, even as just recently sania won french open with bhupathi. i think this severely dents our mixed doubles hopes. plus, not sure how bhupathi-bopanna play out, but that pairing too dents our doubles hopes.
Sania is 100% correct in this episode....she was used as a bait to pacify paes....
She took on Paes' father first. "To Dr Vece Paes, who on camera asked me to give in writing my decision to partner his son for the mixed doubles event, I would like to point out that my commitment is to my country. For the sake of India I'm committed to play with Paes or Bhupathi or Rohan Bopanna or Somdev Devvarman or Vishnu Vardhan. There should never ever be a question on this although if asked, I am entitled to have my preferences."

yeah, but how could she open her mouth without getting the wildcard, it's only now she can speak after getting the entry in.
